Despite embarking on their first-ever continental campaign, Crystal Palace are adapting at a rapid pace. Without key figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that virtually guarantees them a spot in the Europa Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their next fixture against Finland's KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight passage to the last 16, especially following a previous stumble against Strasbourg.

This occasion provided a platform for several Palace's lesser-used players to impress. Christantus Uche, making only his second start after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the account with a clinical finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive match.

Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
